AWC San Antonio Headliner/Proliner Awards Ceremony

Each year, AWC San Antonio recognizes community leaders in the field of communications with the Headliner/Proliner Awards Banquet. This year's 29th Annual HPB was held downtown at the Westin Riverwalk. I worked the registration table! Cynthia Lee, president and founder of Motah and former anchor for fox 29 News, took the microphone as master of ceremonies at 7pm.

Seven Headliner and 54 Proliner awards were presented to both students and professionals in the communications field. Proliner awards recognize excellence in the field of communication, while the Headliners are presented to those with 10+ years of excellence.

Thank you to Ginger Purdy for the invitation! This event was held at El Tropicano Hotel on May 26th, 2009. What a fun chance to meet others and share experiences. It was the students' first time to attend a networking event in San Antonio. I am so excited for the future student members of AWC. The energy in the room was great; we enjoyed live music, games, and door prizes.
